Jewish and Palestinian Student Leadership Program

Abraham's Vision, a non-profit conflict transformation organization that explores group and individual identities through a unique experiential and political education, is looking for inquisitive student leaders for the 2011-2012 Vision Program.

Run through the University of San Francisco, the Vision Program takes Jewish American, Israeli, Palestinian, and Palestinian American university students on a journey of conflict transformation and comparative conflict analysis. The ten-month fellowship begins with a three week trip to the Balkans (Serbia, Kosovo, and Bosnia-Herzegovina) and is followed by two conferences held in the US. Students participate in an in-depth comparative study of two conflict areas: the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the Balkans conflicts. In addition to the academic element, the Vision Program integrates group process sessions (facilitated discussions on personal political identity and power dynamics). All students are eligible for academic credit through the University of San Francisco. The Vision Program summer trip runs from July 1 to July 22, 2011.

There are a limited number of need-based, full scholarships available.
