Youth RISE: Youth Pre-Conference

Youth RISE, the international youth-led network for harm reduction and drug policy reform, is hosting a Youth Pre-Conference from 31 March to 2 April, immediately prior to the International Harm Reduction Association’s (IHRA) 22nd Annual Harm Reduction Conference in Beirut, Lebanon. The event brings together young harm reduction activists from around the world for 3 days of skills-building workshops and creative discussions. The aim of the event is to prepare and empower the young participants to be effective advocates on issues affecting them, and increase their participation at the IHRA conference and beyond. The Youth Peer Education Network is partnering on the event and will facilitate sessions on sexual and reproductive health and rights for young people. The pre-conference is open to young people between the ages of 16 and 29 who are affected by drug policy, use drugs, and/or work in the drugs field.
