Gaza: No more hunger in Northern Gaza during Ramadan
Ramadan is Muslims’ holy month, which is intended to teach Muslims patience, modesty, and spirituality. Muslims fast for the sake of God and to offer more prayers and charity works than usual during Ramadan.
iYouth members planned a visit to the families in Jabalyia Camp Northern Gaza, to support families and distribute food packages to 40 families. On 21st August 2011, the youth headed to Jabalia Camp, where they distributed the food packages to 40 families averaging six people in size.
As Palestinian youth the members showed care for those families by distributing food packages, they also talked with them about their lives and their problems. The people of this community need both tangible and moral support. Families expressed their sincere thanks to iYouth members who worked on this community service activity.
Overall 45 iYouth members were engaged in the action and 240 people were reached.
