Pakistan: Quetta: A Rose for a Smile “an action that brings back the smile to its people”

Quetta has been one of the cities known for its diverse cultures, the beauty of its peaceful folk music and dances. People would gather and celebrate this beauty and peace. Since the incident of 9/11, which not only effected the world trade center but also impacted other parts of the world generally and Pakistan and Afghanistan particularly, bomb blasts and suicide attacks have become very frequent.

These regular incidents are affecting the masses and have created a constant apprehension in people’s minds and ruined almost all social and economic conditions for the public. The hope seems as if it is dying day and night, there seems no way to brightness.

As always the thirst for peace and development provoked the GCC leaders to try and bring hope back to people. GCC leaders started brainstorming around how to do this in light of the recent three recent attacks resulting in the loss of hundreds lives. They made a plan to distribute flowers to people, GCC youth bought a few hundred flowers and gave them to people in the street, bringing widening smiles to those who thought there were no hope left
