Pakistan: Swat - Youth Leaders Training on Video Production
Visual media is playing a vital role in shaping people’s perception, conveying messages, and understanding what is going on in the world. The youth of Pakistan need to enhance their skills and capacities in film making and video production in order to contribute to the socio-economic development within Pakistan.
For this purpose GCC CYAAD—Pk Swat chapter has conducted a four day beginner training conference on video production. The overarching mission for the conference was to improve skills and get a chance to explore the possibilities of modern technology. 23 GCC core leaders participated in the training. Lessons included pre-production, production and post-production in film making. After learning about the programs, the youth leaders, used their new knowledge to create three short documentaries. The subjects were: ‘Water Pollution in Swat’, ‘Youth Issues in Swat’, and ‘Female Education in Swat’. The details of the training procedure are given below;
