Jordan:GCC Youth Participation In Workshops Of LEGO Robotics Team

During the Adobe Youth Voices workshops and in preparation for the AYV Aspire Awards participation, we have conducted a one day workshop that gathered 10 AYV media makers from the three clubhouses in Jordan. Where they supported the LEGO robotics team from e-village clubhouse by working in media teams for media production that could boost the robotics team participation in the 2012 FLL (First LEGO League) , which has included working on a short film, a logo, and printed material that introduces the team. The workshop progress was a great experience for the youth to work together, share ideas, and learn new tools, which was really successful with the implementation.

The topic for FLL 2012 all around the world being food security, the e-Village team has chosen an issue that local farmers in the area face a lot, which is Wheat rotting. And that’s where our GCC leaders have contributed to the robotics team research and investigation of the issue, as well in preparing their presentation for the contest, which is a very important part of it that takes 25% of the evaluation of the team.
